The Family

Family Auto Mercedes BMW Specialists has grown from a one man operation in 1995 to today employing six full time positions and also one part time car wash position during the warmer months. Family Auto Mercedes BMW was recently recognized for their community support and was the proud recipient of the 2012 Small Business of the year by the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce. Owner Dwayne Crawford is extremely proud to support the community in which he lives and works and he and his family have made substantial donations to local charities including giving a Mercedes Benz convertible to the United Way of Calvert County and a Wellcraft Sport Powerboat to The Calverton School, as well as he and his wife are regular supporters of The Calvert Memorial Hospital Foundation and The American legion Post 206 in Chesapeake Beach.

Dwayne Crawford
Manager/ Co-Owner

Master Auto Technician Certified by Mercedes Benz of North America
Together with the support and help of his wife Wendy doing all the business accounting and tax planning needs Dwayne started family auto in 1995 working out of his home garage after working regular dealer hours. In 2003 they expanded into their first commercial location in Calvert county.

Wendy Crawford
CFO/ Co-Owner

Wendy is a certified EEO Law counselor and resigned her career with the federal government in 2003 to perform her duties as our daily business operations manager for Family Auto Mercedes BMW. Wendy responsibilities include payroll, accounting and financial operations all while raising the Crawford's three girls on their small family farm.

Erin Ciok
Assistant Manager/ Service Adviser

Erin worked her way through the automotive service industry beginning as a warranty administration clerk for a Volvo dealer and ultimately serving clients as an assistant manager adviser for our local Mercedes Benz dealer. Erin joined Family Auto Care Mercedes BMW in 2010 and offers our clients a superior personalized service experience on each and every visit. Erin is an amazing young lady we are honored to have as part of our family team.

Charlie Shaffer
Master Auto Technician

Charlie and Dwayne worked at the local Mercedes Benz dealer together as master technicians before ultimately joining back together at Family Auto Care Mercedes BMW Specialists in 2009. Charlie is hands down the best diagnostic and service technician we know and we are extremely proud he chooses to apply his craft and put his expertise to good use for the benefit of our amazing clients.

Rick Curren
Master Auto Technician

Rick is an ASE certified Master Technician who joined Family Auto Mercedes BMW Specialists in 2013. Rick is a wonderful family man and an amazing auto technician and allows us to offer superior service to a few select lines besides Mercedes and BMW, such as VW, Audi and Lexus. Rick has over 30 years of hands on and technical experience and like Charlie and Dwayne insists on only premium quality and superior customer care at all times. We are very honored to have Rick on our family team working for our family clients.
